Public Forums

Honiton Health Matters hold Forums, or community conversations and local networking opportunities to promote neighbourhood discussions of health and wellbeing and to create opportunities for development of neighbourhood initiatives and support for people volunteering in the work of health and wellbeing. These forums are held four times a year to provide opportunities for local groups and the general public to gather and discuss vital issues of health and wellbeing and their own role in providing ideas and solutions.

We use the community discussions to listen to local issues for health and wellbeing of concerns to volunteer groups and clubs and bring support options and solutions to address organisational and funding needs.

Through the forums and networking opportunities, we encourage and empower collaborative working between groups and develop a collective voice to influence statutory provision.

We will support voluntary groups and clubs by promoting their activities, advertising for new trustees and volunteers, providing seminars and speakers on issues such as safeguarding, funding, legal concerns and finding community spaces.
