Abbeyfield - Stanhope House residence for older people

Category: Aging Well, Loneliness

Abbeyfield sets out to provide a special type of accommodation which serves to bridge the gap between own home and care homes. It provides another option for older people who, no longer, feel able to lead a completely independent life in their own home, but who still like to be active.

Stanhope House does not provide personal care that is offered in a care home.

Not only will you have the privacy and comfort of your own room, you’re also an important part of a thriving and sociable community. Plus all our houses have a 24-hour on call system for added reassurance.

It really is living life on your terms.

In addition to your own room, in the majority you’ll also have an en suite bathroom and small kitchenette – so you have the flexibility of making your own breakfast, drinks and snacks whenever you fancy.

How you furnish your room is up to you, so you’re free to put your own stamp on it. Friends and family are also welcome to visit whenever you want – it is your home, after all.
