‘Project Food is a registered charity set up to help people to cook delicious healthy food for themselves and their families and to promote local food.  Our vision is to improve people’s health and wellbeing by changing the way we eat and developing essential life skills.

In ‘normal’ times we work with many disadvantaged and isolated groups in the community through providing free cookery sessions around East Devon, South Somerset and West Dorset.  During the coronavirus outbreak we have been running online cooking groups instead of face to face sessions.  All are welcome, so if you would like to join us, please do email or give us a call.

We also run a fruit, vegetable and local produce shop (The Food Hub) based in Axminster for the whole community, from where we also run the charity.  All proceeds from the shop help to support our work with vulnerable and isolated people. Through our shop be have also been providing free fresh fruit and veg boxes and, in conjunction with River Cottage and the Monmouth Pantry, free frozen ready meals to some of the people worst affected by the Covid 19 crisis.’
