Honiton U3A

Category: Aging Well, Loneliness, Physical Health

We are the local representative group of the National Organisation - The University of the Third Age - whose aim is to provide opportunities for retired and semi-retired people to come together to share, develop and enjoy their interests.  Hence our motto of "Learn, Laugh, Live". We are not a university in the traditional sense, there is no studying for qualifications, we just enjoy taking part and meeting people and perhaps learning new skills.  A General Meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday of most months, where we receive group notices and updates as well as meeting a Guest Speaker.  In addition to our monthly meetings, we also have our 'Interest Groups'.  There are currently 26 groups for members to join covering a vast and diverse range of subjects which include Art Appreciation, Photography, History, Meteorology, Knitting, Book Groups, Walking and many more......the list goes on.  If this short introduction has left you wanting to know more about the Honiton U3A, please contact us either by email or visit our website.
